This is an original design that could only have been made with the support (and glass collection) of my aunt, Susan Hacking. most of the bubbles overlap another, and i was careful to try and use glass in the ‘overlap’ area that was as close as possible to the actual color that i saw when i physically overlapped the two pieces of glass. circles are very challenging to cut and this piece looks crooked to me, but i love it anyway. it’s so soothing.

I made this quilt years ago for a good friend. Recently she gave it back to me in a roundabout fashion. It now hangs as a room divider and is loved by all!

God Awful has 80 unique and mostly awful fabrics on the front. Everyone who takes a close look at the quilt wants to tell me how “this-and-such square” is actually attractive and not awful at all. It takes all kinds, doesn’t it?

The back of this quilt has two distinct and mismatched awful flannel plaids. It is bound in 6 dull or at least unattractive greens and aquas, which look terrible with the orangey plaids.

This quilt has dozens of the plainest, dullest, stupidest buttons I could find. None are alike. Notice the big, clumsy black stitching on the right-hand side. When this seam split, I decided that an amateurish sewing job was more awful than a tidy invisible stitch.

What’s worse than big, tacky, pink kissy lips?

oh, this is a terrible photo. this quilt measures approximately 5 inches square and the quilting is wonderful (if i do say so myself). i traced quarters and half-dollars for the scalloping in the borders.

Craig facetiously commented that i had put an awful lot of work into that “potholder”. i think i threw my pincushion at him.

I made this quilt at the peak of my quilting abilities. i measures approximately 15 by 15 inches. I just love it and I am crazy about the colors. I guess Amish-style quilts are love-em or hate-em items. too bad they don’t go with my current decor. someday, when I have a larger house, I’ll go with bolder colors.

I believe each square is 1 1/2 inches to make a three-inch four-patch block

This is my sister Jessica’s favorite quilt that I have made.

This bear took about 8 hours to make. I used leftover tweed wool yarn on small knitting needles. I stuffed him with filling that I ripped out of an old jacket. I cut the ribbon off of an old Halloween costume

This is a Debbie Mumm pattern, but the hand quilting and the little worm make it special.

This wall hanging was made with both pieced sections and sections with motifs “wonder-undered” down. It reminds me of deer hunts. This is a commercially available pattern.
